Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the WordDuel mobile game (package identifier com.bngyazilim.wordduel) and the bngyazilim.com website, both operated by BnG Yazılım, handle user data. By using the app or the site you accept the practices described here.

An account is optional
You do not need to create an account or sign in to play WordDuel; the entire game can be played as a guest. If you wish to carry your progress between devices, you may sign in with your Google Play Games account (see “Signing in and cloud backup”).
Even when you sign in, we do not ask for, and do not collect, your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or location. Signing in only obtains a single-use authorisation code from Google; access to your email address is not requested.
Your in-game player name (for example “Oyuncu4821”) is generated automatically by the app and has no connection to your real identity. If you change that name, it is still not matched to your real identity.
Data stored on your device
Your game progress — level, coins, hint credits, daily quests, achievements, selected avatar, settings and duel history — is kept in your device’s local storage. When you uninstall the app, it is deleted from your device.
If you play as a guest, this data is not sent to us. If you sign in with an account, your progress is additionally backed up to the cloud; see the next section.
Signing in and cloud backup
If you choose to sign in with your Google Play Games account, your game progress is stored on Unity Gaming Services (Cloud Save). The sole purpose is to let you continue where you left off when you change devices or reinstall the app.
Data backed up to the cloud: your game progress (levels, coins, stars, avatars, achievements, quests), your player name and tag, your friend list, your leaderboard entries and your turn-based duel matches. This data is tied to a player identifier that is not linked to your real identity.
Signing in is entirely optional; you can play all of the game’s content without it. You may sign out at any time from Settings > Account, or permanently delete your account and all cloud data.
Data collected and shared in the game
The app uses third-party services for advertising and online play features. These services collect the following data:

This data is not linked to your real identity. All data transfer takes place over encrypted connections.
Data collected on the website
We do not ask for any personal data when you simply browse bngyazilim.com. Data is processed in the following cases:
- Contact form: when you fill in and submit the form, your name, email address and message are sent to us by email. This data is not stored in a database; it is used solely to answer your enquiry and is deleted from our mailbox a reasonable time after the correspondence ends.
- Server logs: as on every web server, our hosting provider keeps access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser information). These logs are used for security and technical troubleshooting.
- Cookies: the site uses technical cookies only — for your language preference and for the contact form’s security check. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
The site does not use any visitor tracking tool such as Google Analytics.
Third-party services
The app uses the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (Google) — ad serving and ad measurement. Privacy policy

- Google Firebase (Google) — usage statistics, crash diagnostics, notification delivery, ad revenue measurement and server-side game data (leaderboards, friends, turn-based duels). Privacy information

Advertising
The app shows rewarded ads (which you can watch to earn rewards) and interstitial ads between levels. Ad providers may use your advertising identifier to show ads matched to your interests.
- Android: you can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in your device settings.
- iOS: the app asks for tracking permission on first launch; if you decline, the tracking identifier is not accessed.
You can remove ads with an in-app purchase.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We have no access to your credit card or payment details, and that information is never passed to us. Only whether a purchase completed is stored on your device.
Children’s privacy
WordDuel is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you become aware of such a case, contact us and we will delete the relevant data.
Data retention and deletion
Your game progress is stored on your device and deleted from it when you uninstall the app. If you signed in with an account, the same data is retained in the cloud until you delete it. Leaderboard scores are kept under a player identifier not linked to your real identity. Contact form correspondence is kept in our mailbox until the purpose of answering it has passed.
You can delete your account and all cloud data yourself: in the app, Settings > Account > “Delete My Account”. If you no longer have access to the app, follow the steps on the Account and Data Deletion page. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
To request deletion of other records, contact us at info@bngyazilim.com. We conclude such requests within 30 days at the latest.
Data security
All data transfer between you and the site or app takes place over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). The website holds no user accounts, passwords or payment details, and uses no database. Even so, we remind you that no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as new features are added to the app and the site. For significant changes, the “Last updated” date on this page changes.
