Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the WordDuel mobile game and the bngyazilim.com website, both provided by BnG Yazılım — Berna ÇETİN (“BnG Yazılım”, “we”). By downloading the game or using the site you are deemed to accept these terms.

Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use WordDuel for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. The game remains our property; it is not sold to you, only licensed for use.

What you must not do

When using the game and the site, you agree not to:

• attempt to access, reverse-engineer or modify the game’s source code,
• use cheat software, automated scripts or any tool that disrupts normal operation of the game,
• direct harassing, threatening or abusive names or messages at other players in online duels,
• attempt to overload the game’s servers or network infrastructure,
• reproduce, distribute or sell the game or its content without permission.

Conduct that breaches these rules may result in access to online features being restricted without prior notice.

In-game currencies and purchases

The game contains a virtual currency called “coins”. What you should know about it:

• Virtual currencies have no real-world monetary value; they cannot be converted into money, used outside the game, sold or transferred.
• They are not property belonging to you, but a right of use within the game.
• Your coin balance and unlocked items are stored on your device; if you play as a guest they are lost when you uninstall the app. If you have signed in, they are restored from your cloud backup.
• All purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Refund requests are subject to the relevant store’s refund policy and must be directed to that store; we have no access to your payment details.

Advertising

The game shows advertising so that it can be offered free of charge. Ad content is determined by third-party ad networks and is not under our control. You can remove ads with an in-app purchase. For details on how advertising data is processed, see our Privacy Policy.

Online features

Online duel, matchmaking and leaderboard features run on third-party infrastructure (Unity Gaming Services). We do not guarantee that these features will work uninterrupted or error-free; they may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates or provider-side causes. We reserve the right to discontinue online features with reasonable notice.

Intellectual property

The WordDuel name, logo, graphics, sound effects, interface design and source code belong to BnG Yazılım and are protected by copyright. Licence notices for third-party assets used in the game are included within the app.

The game’s dictionary was built using the open-source Zemberek natural language processing library (Apache Licence 2.0) together with word frequency data.

Limitation of liability

The game and the site are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit arising from use of the game. This limitation does not remove your statutory rights as a consumer.

Backing up the game progress stored on your device is your responsibility; we cannot be held liable for data loss resulting from uninstalling the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, the “Last updated” date on this page changes. Continuing to use the game after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Hatay have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from them. Where you act as a consumer, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is reserved.
