Independent game studio · Hatay, Türkiye

Creating intelligent word games.

BnG Yazılım builds mobile games that turn language into a playing field. Our first game, WordDuel, turns a word puzzle into a live 90-second duel.

Who we are

A small studio with a single obsession.

We are an independent mobile game studio based in Arsuz, Hatay. Rather than shipping many games in a hurry, we would rather finish a few of them properly.

Our mission

To make beautifully designed word games that challenge minds, bring players together and make language entertaining.

Our vision

To become one of the word game studios the world recognises — starting from Turkish.

How we decide

  • 01

    Creativity

Take a familiar genre and ask it a new question.

  • 02

    Simplicity

Every extra thing on screen is one more way to get lost.

  • 03

    Innovation

Choices like a deterministic game core: invisible, and they change everything.

  • 04

    Accessibility

No account, no forced sign-up, nothing between you and the game.

  • 05

    Fun

One round lasts 90 seconds. It should end before you get bored.

  • 06

    Fair play

Both players get an identical board. Words win, not luck.

The short story

  1. 2026

    The studio was founded

BnG Yazılım was founded in Arsuz, Hatay as a sole proprietorship owned by Berna ÇETİN.

  2. 2026

    A question was asked

Word puzzles are calm and solitary. What if two people tried to solve the same puzzle at the same time?

  3. 2026

    The core was written

Board generation, dictionary and word finding were built as pure C#, independent of the engine and covered by unit tests.

  4. 2026

    WordDuel prepares to ship

The iOS and Android builds are being prepared for store submission.

What is in the box

  • A 36,413-word dictionary

Built with the open-source Zemberek NLP library together with word frequency data.

  • Real-time duels

Quick Match pairs you with a random opponent, or challenge someone you know with their invite code.

  • Board of the Day

Everyone gets the same board every day. Played once per day.

  • Levels and progression

The difficulty curve gradually raises both board size and target score.

  • Daily quests

Quests that refresh each day, streak tracking and unlockable achievements.

  • Statistics

Words found, longest streak, duels won — all of it recorded.

  • Avatars and rewards

Spend the coins you earn on one of forty-seven avatars.

  • Dark and light themes

A theme you switch with one tap, a hint system, and portrait play.

  • No account required

No sign-up, no email. Progress stays on your device; back it up with an account if you want to.

Gameplay

Try it in your browser.

The honeycomb below is not the game itself — it is a small demo board that shows the mechanic. Link neighbouring letters to find the hidden words.

This demo board is rebuilt on every visit and places its words at random; in the game itself the board is generated against the 36,413-word dictionary.

Why WordDuel

Things you do not expect from a word game.

The game is not on the stores yet, so you will not find player reviews or ratings here. Instead, here are the design decisions that make it different.

  • 01

    One board, two players

No luck gap between you and your opponent. You both see exactly the same letters; the only difference is what you find.

  • 02

    90 seconds

A round is short enough to finish while queueing, and tense enough to make you restart it.

  • 03

    Turkish on its own terms

The dictionary was built for Turkish, and case conversion respects the “İ/ı” rule.

  • 04

    Ads do not interrupt

Interruptions that make a game unplayable are not part of the design.

  • 05

    No account needed

No sign-up, email or phone number. Your player name is generated by the app.

  • 06

    Your data stays put

Progress is kept in your device’s local storage. Cloud backup is entirely your choice.

Studio technologies

The part you do not see.

The tools and engineering choices that hold the game up.

  • Unity

iOS and Android builds are produced from a single codebase.

  • C# game core

Board generation and word finding are written as pure C#, independent of the engine.

  • Deterministic board

The network carries the seed, not the board; both devices generate the same board locally.

  • Zemberek dictionary

36,413 words built with the Turkish NLP library and frequency data.

  • Unit tests

Core logic is covered by tests, so bugs hit the build rather than the store.

  • Local storage

Player progress stays on the device; no personal data travels to a server.

  • Event-based netcode

Only “word found” events cross the wire — little data, verifiable results.

  • iOS and Android

The same experience across both stores.

Our design philosophy

Every letter is a decision.

A good word game does not teach you words. It makes you notice the ones you already knew.

The less there is on screen, the more the player sees. Before we add a button, we ask which button we could remove. Colour, motion and sound are not there to distract — they are there to say that something happened.

  1. Gameplay first
  2. Interface second
  3. Decoration last
